St. Charles, in the Fox Valley region of Illinois, is home to innnovative schools, thriving business, champion sports teams, outstanding shopping, 56 picturesque parks and remarkable waterfront views. It's been called the "Pride of the Fox."

Within the city, you'll find the famous Baker Hotel, Arcada theater, St. Charles Country Club, Cultural Arts Center, Ice Arena, Recreational Center and Sports Complex. The Pheasant Run Resort and Golf Complex on Main Street (North Avenue) has a top tier convention center and draws many big-name celebrities to its theater venue.

Museums and historic sights may be found all over St. Charles. Many of the historic retail buildings downtown were once the homes of St. Charles founding families. Old-fashioned values and outstanding customer service are strong traits of businesses and 14 shopping districts throughout the city. In the Randall Road shopping corridor, you'll find a wide variety of shopping and dining options (far too many to list)!

Annual events include the Fall Scarecrow Festival, June Fox River Festival, Dragon Boat Races, Sand Sculpture, Kane County Fair at the Fairgrounds, the Kane County Flea Market. The Kane County Cougars baseball team is a Class A affiliate of the Oakland A's. Two antique paddlewheel boats cruise the Fox River from Pottowatomie Park and make for a fun way to tour the area.

Fox Mill is an incredibly popular subdivision in St. Charles. It's close to downtown and it has scenic walking paths in a charming country setting. You'll find a myriad of other housing options within St. Charles. The city has all the conveniences and culture of a big city coupled with sweet, small town charm.


Geneva, IL

Geneva is a gem on the Fox Valley, filled with historic architecture and ornate, turn-of-the-century elegant homes, as well as modern luxury homes and sleek condominiums for every taste and budget. Visitors come from all over the world to shop historic Geneva. It's a treasure trove of over 100 unique shops concentrated around the Third and State Street area, just steps from downtown. One could easily spend a day and still not see everything. The fine dining establishments rival some of the best restaurants of downtown Chicago and many have views of the river.

Many annual festivals are held here and include the Geneva on The River, Swedish Days, Festival of The Vine (for wine enthusiasts and art lovers) and the Geneva Christmas Walk complete with holiday refreshments, carolers and home tours.

Island Park is a beautiful oasis where local residents may picnic and fish for small mouth bass, walleye and the occasional muskie. The Fox River Bike Trail also runs through the park and connects the town of Algonquin and Aurora. Nearby Fabyan Forest Preserve offers biking, hiking, fishing on its 600-acre site. You'll find the famous Dutch Windmill, a restored Japanese tea garden and Fabyan Villa home, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright on the property as well. Golfers have a choice of over a dozen area courses, open to the public. Several private courses round out the mix for members and their guests.

Mill Creek is a popular subdivision with single family homes, townhomes and condominiums. It's a self-sufficient community with two golf courses and a full range of services including dry cleaning. The area is filled with equestrian estates and amazing architectural beauties, both on and off the Fox River.


Batavia, IL

Batavia, Illinois is the heart of the Fox Vallye. It was named after Batavia, New York, the home town of Judge Isaac Wilson, who established the town in 1835. Rich agricultural land and river allowed the city to thrive early on. It became known as "The Windmill City" when as many as a dozen companies in Batavia were producing wind powered mills. Batavia has been rich in limestone. Ten quarries in the town supplied stone for Chicago rebuild, after the Great Chicago Fire.

Residents can reach downtown Chicago and O'Hare International Airport (ORD) via commuter trains or Interstate 90 or 88. Corporate and private aircraft may fly into nearby DuPage County Airport or Aurora Municipal Airport.

Abraham Lincoln's widow, Mary Todd Lincoln, spent three months at Batavia's Bellevue Place Sanitarium shortly after the Lincoln's assassination. Today, the world famous Fermi National  Accelerator Laboratory gives Batavia the most notoriety, attracting physicists from around the world.

Boating, fishing, hiking, biking and cross-country skiing are popular area sports. Shopping choices are endless and range from quaint, traditional downtown shopping to large retail store options.  

Homes for sale and housing styles in town, range from gorgeous 1890's Victorian Painted Ladies to ultra-modern homes of the 21st Century. Festivals and events held here include the Mid-American Canoe Race along the Fox River, the Fourth of July celebration and the mid-July Windmill City Fest and Carnival.
